	In 1999, with the death of Living Karma, King Lizzard created a band that would be more live performance friendly...a band that was hard edged, kicked ass and needed no computers or sequenced music. It was while watching Francis Ford Copolla's "Apocalypse Now" that King came upon a name for his new project: The movie was based on a book called "Into the Heart of Darkness." So He came up with the Hearts of Darkness Band. However, since there were already several Heart/Hearts of Darkness Band, he added that it was King Lizzard's Hearts of Darkness Band, to separate from the other HoD Bands. KLHoD Band went through three major incarnations (see Timeline) and performed their last show at Las Vegas' Cheyenne Saloon in April of 2002. It's not known if King Lizzard will resurrect the Hearts of Darkness Band.
