Misty Bennetts, King Lizzard, Rick Bell, Mark Maynard
From 1997 to 1999 Living Karma turned out the most amazing techno-rock in history. Combining techno, classical and Latin rhythms with the incredible vocals of Misty Bennetts they created the classic CD, "The Sin City Symphony." So what happened to them??? |

Misty Bennetts, the vocal powerhouse of Living Karma, who recorded "The Sin City Symphony" in 1998, died last Tuesday, June 8, 2004, in a fire in Las Vegas. She was a long time resident of Bullhead City, AZ. Quoted from the Las Vegas Review Journal: Police believe Bennetts ignited a fire at her Desert Shores home, near Buffalo Drive and Smoke Ranch Road, as part of a suicide, but an official cause of death was unavailable Tuesday. She was 37. She leaves her husband and three children behind. She had a powerful, bluesy, soulful voice, virtually identical to Annie Lennox, which could rock the roofs off of arenas. She will be missed by everyone. Of the original LIVING KARMA who created "The Sin City Symphony" only Mark "The Man With No Name" and King Lizzard remain. Good bye, Misty...We miss you greatly and I hope that "The Sin City Symphony" will immortalize you someday. |

| Rick was the Keith Moon of the band, doing wild stunts like shooting up his pick-up truck, excessive drinking and womanizing. During the recording of Sin City Symphony King Lizzard complimented Rick on a guitar lead, to which Rick replied, "I don't give a good Goddamn what you like..." |

Mark Maynard is still performing in Casinos doing oldies rock. He's also the Legends in Concert Frankie Valli impersonator. He continues to be a Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist men's division leader and from time to time talks to King Lizzard. |

King Lizzard went on to form King Lizzard's Hearts of Darkness band in 1999, after the final show of Living Karma at the old Boston. As of 2004 he has gone into retirement, still writing and recording material, releasing new solo CDs and showing up as a guest bass player (under a different name) for some local bands.
In early 2007 he had a serious accident inside his Las Vegas home which has left him immobile. |
