Not Really Sitting on My Dead Ass
Hello everyone;
I just wanted to point out a very important, yet seemingly minute, change I’ve done to my main website and all my sub-sites.
In my sites for upcoming shows I decided to show the Lizzard humor and say I’m sitting on my dead ass, accompanied by a photoshopped picture of me sitting on a dead donkey.
While amusing as it was, it was brought to my attention by one of my managers that it indicates that I’m lazy and don’t have any interest in music and have been jerking off for 6 years.
Truth of the matter is since 2003, a few days after the last LizzardFest, I’ve been extremely busy, and extremely well compensated, for serving my country in the United States Air Force as a GS comptroller for one of the largest wings in the entire Air Force.
This is a job that keeps me going sometimes 6 and 7 days a week.
So, while anyone who saw “King Lizzard is sitting on his dead ass” might find that funny, or might think that I’ve been getting wasted and not caring about music, or anything, that’s not true.
I’ve made many high ranking friends within the Army, Marines and Air Force, have met kings, princes and dignitaries from all over the world including President Obama (who is technically my boss). I have seen, and continue to see, on a first hand basis the training and effects of our efforts in Iraq, Afghanistan and other hotspots in the world.
I am also still happily married to my lovely Queen, have four grandchildren, three cats, we are remodeling our house and we just purchased our final resting places at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills.
There was a period in 2007-2008 that I was incapacitated with an accident that required major surgery, but I was still working for the Man.
I’m serving my country, and have been consistently recording and promoting my stuff.
I have a manager, an agent and a PR person and still continue writing and recording new tracks. Look for more and more market saturation as I’ve partnered up with several promotional resources.
Music is still very important to me, but so is making money and serving my country. So, we’ll see how things go.
